I was honored the pleasure to photograph this family in their own back yard in Ferndale, WA. Now don’t get any ideas and think hoping in my car to pack on an extra 200 miles to my odometer is something I do often, it is not. But we always make exceptions for exceptional people.
As a photographer – I am sure I am not the only one who scouts. I am always looking at textures, backgrounds, how light hits the ground- where and when. I was at this home previously and saw a boat. I later watched the sun go down over their backyard… and realized I would be coming back to get some photos. This amazing family was willing to play in front of my camera. They were amazing troopers making all my photographer dreams come true.
Watching kids play, use imagination and be creative is stunning and should never be overlooked. Its beauty.
