Newborn Photographer Tilly | Lifestyle Newborn Family Session
If you have seen enough of my photography you will know that you won’t see a lot of “prop” or “pose” work with newborns. Instead of telling you why I don’t do that, I will take your time up by telling you why I do, what I do.
Family. It is a newborn session, but it took a family of people who love each other to be in this place and time. I am hired by my client, normally the mom, but I am taking pictures for the newborn. I keep them in mind the entire newborn photography session. I want them to look back and see the bed, home, hands, arms, siblings, walls they grew up around. I want to show them their stunning mothers who brought them into the world. I want them to see their fathers arms they were held so safely in. This is a time they will never remember so I want to show them all the love in a home they came into.
Will I take a picture of a newborn alone? Of course I will! In my mind, a newborn is best and looks complete in arms of the people who love him or her. I realize my style is not for all and that is okay. I love that it is these, little differences that make us who we are and who we are not.
This little one was happiest in the arms of the ones who love him so we got along great!
This morning in a stunning neighborhood in Seattle, Montlake, I met up again with a really beautiful family I have had the pleasure of doing family photography for last Christmas. This time with a plus one!
Welcome to the world little one.
