Giggles and Smiles | Seattle Family Photography
One thing I learned working at Starbucks Headquarters, before I started my journey as a Seattle Family Photographer is that: it is so much more than a cup of coffee. Howard Schultz would say that the most important thing to him is “creating an experience”.
As a business owner of a photo booth rental company as well as photographer – I have really worked to create an experience. The more I work with families the more I see the value in the experience – before I thought if I have the best technical skills and best equipment I will get hired… I don’t believe that anymore.
Helping a family to be comfortable around you – even with a kid that does NOT want anything to do with getting their pictures taken in an art form – and I love the practice.
How to make the photography session the best for you and your kids:
I tell my families to arrive early get them “warmed up” to the idea of play and meeting someone new.
Never put pressure on a kid to “perform” – they usually do the exact opposite.
I encourage play: play games, bring a favorite toy, hide and seek or even animal sounds, if you are a repeat client you have probably heard me “oink” literally.
Parents set the stage – as a photographer I capture what is there with a little added extra dash of fun, giggles and ‘oinks’.
So relax and lets capture some great moments!
Leading into this you must think this family was really tough to work with – the exact opposite. This family was super easy and a blast, I really hope I get to watch this little girl grow! She squeals in delight while she smiles. BEST. SOUND. EVER.
