I have been seriously digging on a few things lately!

Tilly’s The Photographer Top Seven List

Your Seattle Photographer thinks a few things are pretty rad and I want you to hear about them. You ever use something and think; damn this is good. I do. Often. You should know about these things that make my heart sing, my days easier and my smile bigger. Trust me. It is worth it.

In no particular order here are some things I can’t live without.

SPANX: Let’s be honest, sometimes my muffin top has a muffin top of its own. Oh and not just any Spanx, I mean the body suit. I got the “OnCore High Waisted Brief but spent most the night I wanted to look and feel sexy running to the bathroom to pull it up. Every thirty minutes the Spanx themselves would have a roll of themselves that needed to be tamed. My girlfriend turned me onto the Body Suit. I will never go back. For those of us who are still battling the baby tummy, I offer you relief without missing out on your wine and cheese. Created by a woman for women. You can thank me later!

RING: Because UPS loves to knock and I hate falling for it every single time. In my mind when I hear a knock I think – OH someone knows how bad I need coffee and is standing at my front door right now. I must stop everything I am doing and run to them. Only to open the door and see a UPS or FedEx truck driving away. Oh, look, toilet paper from Amazon, rad. Ring lets you see who is at your door and determine if it’s worth getting off the toilet for. You get video and can even talk to folks at your front door from the comfort of well – ANYWHERE. It also automatically kicks on if it senses motion. You feel safe and all knowing about your neighborhoods shenanigans!

iROBOT ROOMBA: How did I ever live without one? Honestly, I will never know. This little robot cleaning machine has vastly changed this dog owner’s view of how a house should look. Toddlers in the house, no problem. No crumbs on your feet ever. I have the cleanest floors on the block I promise you. Fully redone original hardwoods have never looked so good. It comes with a free bonus in the box, a TIDY house – because if you don’t your shit will get sucked up! You’re Welcome!

CLARISONIC: I will never stop using this little ultrasonic face scrubber. I swear by it, they have a 100% satisfaction guarantee for a reason. I have been using mine since I was in college and do not regret a single replacement brush cartridge. My face feels clean and soft after every use. It will die with me.

BEAUTYCOUNTER: If you have been to my house you know I am slightly obsessed with this stuff. It is a fact. Finding out that the United States has not passed a major federal law to regulate the safety of ingredients used in personal care products since 1938 made me really concerned. With cancers, inflammatory diseases on the rise I wanted to know what I was putting on my body was safe. Guys, over the past two decades, the European Union has banned more than 1,300 chemicals in the product formulas of personal care products and restricted the levels of over 250 more in such products. The United States has only partially banned 30 to date. Gross. Beautycounter works and makes you feel good about your decision to buy. Created by a woman for women. Get yours here and don’t hold back.

THINX: Yep, not even ashamed of it either. These fancy panties have made my endometriosis bearable. I won’t go into great detail but they also are the most comfortable panties I own. Periods happen for those of us with the XX chromosomes. Periods suck for so many reasons but don’t totally have to. They are worth a nod in my world.

MAC MAKEUP BRUSHES (And someone to teach you how to use them): How did I go almost my whole life not knowing how to properly put on makeup? I mean, wow. You think it’s intuitive. You watch your mom make that face in the mirror with her mouth wide open while she applies her mascara and think, you got this. Well that is the furthest thing from the truth! I finally got a lesson from a 25 year vet in the business and wow. What a difference he made in my world. He also taught me about using proper brushes and I was hit with yet another ‘ah ha’ moment. As far as makeup and hair goes – ask a professional. If you are in Seattle, ask Robert Holzer. Email me if you need his contact information.

I can’t wait to hear what you think of these items! Love them or hate them?

Until then check out this amazing little newborn and photography session! Do yourself and watch this video until the end.
