If you live here- you are living through it.
With our 9th consecutive day of rain this month, and well, all the other rain that’s fallen this autumn and winter, Seattle has received more than 37.50″ of rain since October 1. We have gotten a full years worth of our average rainfall in 5.5 months. It has been intense. We noticed when the sun and came out and we saw our shadows for the first time in months. (this is a thing). Thankfully this year has been a busy year and I had yet to notice until these fantastic and sweet clients of mine got rescheduled twice due to rain!

It was time for an indoor solution to an obviously wet winter. They wanted some images with the great Seattle outdoors – after all, they came here for a job at Amazon and they wanted to capture this chapter in their lives. On our third attempt to schedule, we decided on a Ferry Ride rain or shine! Thank goodness because it rained!
“There are two basic motivating forces: fear and love. When we are afraid, we pull back from life. When we are in love, we open to all that life has to offer with passion, excitement, and acceptance. We need to learn to love ourselves first, in all our glory and our imperfections. If we cannot love ourselves, we cannot fully open to our ability to love others or our potential to create. Evolution and all hopes for a better world rest in the fearlessness and open-hearted vision of people who embrace life.” ― John Lennon
Have an open heart and embrace what life and weather bring you – and don’t forget to splash in all the puddles.
