Seattle Wedding Photography | Jacky and Jason
If you can recall my last post about a couple getting engaged; you will recognize them – as this is their wedding. See their engagement session here. A very special day. I have photographed a lot more births then I have weddings. In fact this is my first big wedding. I never saw the draw to wedding photography. Its not a birth after all… but in its own way it is. I got to attend a wedding watch a birth of a family. A birth of a new beginning. The opportunity to see these two families merge was an honor.
This couple told me it was a simple easy going backyard wedding. It was NOTHING of the sort. It was elegant, stunning, soft and full of tasteful and thoughtful details. The mother of the groom made the cake, a friend made pies – lots of amazing looking pies (my only regret is not tasting one), friends brought decorations, a neighbor roasted the pork… this as a all hands on deck wedding that created magic. Priceless, genuine and stunning magic. It was what love looks like when its put to work. The wedding was in a backyard – their families yard… which was stunning.
